Announcement: ATKIS^®-DLM250, New Version 2011

The Digital Landscape Model 1:250,000 (DLM250) of the Official Topographic Cartographic Information System (ATKIS®) will soon be available for distribution as an updated version and will be adapted to the AFIS-ALKIS-ATKIS reference model (AAA® ).

The present version is including the annual update of the main feature types. A new feature type for settlement is included plus some additional attributes for settlement, traffic, and vegetation. Furthermore the density could be improved and the acquisition criteria according to GeoInfoDoc could better be met.

A complete new acquisition has started for the vegetation areas, taking into account the acquisition criteria of the Feature Type Catalogue 1:250,000 as a part of the Documentation on the Modelling of Geoinformation of Official Surveying and Mapping (GeoInfoDoc).

It is planned for 2012 to publish the ATKIS®-DLM250 as a so called NAS compact dataset.
