Administrative Boundaries for Germany updated

Our product "Übersicht der Verwaltungsgrenzen 1:2 500 000 (VG2500)" (Index of administrative boundaries 1:2 500 000) includes the administrative units of Germany.

The data set covers the hierarchical administrative levels from national down to local (Kreis) units giving

• their boundaries,
• the regional key and the name of the administrative unit,
• the exact denomination of the administrative level as being applied in the federal state concerned.

The VG2500 has been updated as for 01 August 2008 following the reorganisation of the Kreis level in Sachsen.

The data are available in various formats and geo referencings as free download for private users and for internal use in companies. Further use is not allowed without our consent. Please observe our licensing conditions.
