ATKIS® Basis DLM Update, October 2009

On 21 October 2009 updated data for the Basis DLM (old data model) were adopted for distribution from all Länder (states of the Federal Republic) except for Nordrhein-Westfalen and Schleswig-Holstein.
For Nordrhein-Westfalen and Schleswig-Holstein that have already completed changeover to the new AAA® data model, updated data are available according to the AAA® specification, which are presently distributed exclusively in the product specification "Basis DLM (AAA® compact)" in NAS format.
The data contained in the nationwide Basis DLM (old data model) of those Länder having already implemented the model change, have the status of topicality of the date of the model change and will undergo no more updates. This particular situation of parallel data distribution within two different data models of different topicality will persist until the date at which all Länder will have implemented the model change.

For the Länder working already in the AAA® data model, topicality concerning the last data still available in the old data model mode can be inquired at the GeoDataCentre of the Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie (Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy).
