New Version: EuroBoundaryMap v3.0
EuroBoundaryMap (EBM), the reference data base of the European administrative units designed for applications at the scale 1:100 000, has been completed by the BKG on behalf of EuroGeographics with the reference date 1 January 2008.
EBM offers the following administrative data for all European administrative units from the local level to the country level:
- the geometry
- the names
- unified codes for all Euroean countries
- official national codes
- linkage to the NUTS regions for the EU27 administrative units.
Corresponding to the contractual obligations, this updated reference data base of the European administrative units and a final report have been delivered to Eurostat in January 2009.
EBM v3.0 is used by Eurostat to derive and provide a number of recent datasets within the GISCO data base of the European Commission.
The contract between EuroGeographics and Eurostat has again been renewed for another year, so the BKG as product coordinator is now working together with all European EBM partners to the continuing of this reference data base with reference date 1 January 2009.
