VG2500 of Germany: New version 2010

Date: 2010-01-14

For our product “Overview of the Administrative Boundaries 1 : 2 500 000 (VG2500)” an update is available as of 01 January 2010.

The dataset covers hierarchical administrative levels of Germany from national down to local (Kreis) units including

• their boundaries
• the regional key and the name of the administrative unit,
• the specific denomination of the administrative level as being applied in the federal state concerned.

For private users and and for internal use in companies the data are ready for free download. The data are delivered in the ArcInfo-Shape format with several geo referencings and are including source indications. Further use is not allowed without our consent. Please observe our licensing conditions.

The VG2500 datasets are available at our GeoDatenZentrum.
