Products of Geoinformation and Geodesy

The products of the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) are the consequence of its core tasks.

The core task of the geoinformation field consists in providing topographic information in the form of digital basic geodata of different resolution levels, topographic map series at different scales, and digital cartographic raster data. The products derived thereof are geodata in the form of vector data (Digital Landscape Models, Digital Terrain Models, Administrative Boundaries, and Geographical Names) and raster data (Digital Topographic Maps) as well as maps (small-scale General Topographic Maps and CD ROM of Germany, and Historical Topographic Maps).

A variety of publication series (some of them completed in the past) are also among the product range.
