Vocational Training

The Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) in Frankfurt am Main offers the following vocational training courses:

• A three-year apprenticeship in the recognized trainee occupation Geomatics Engineering Technologist.

  In the field of geoinformation every year 5 trainees are given the possibility to start their apprenticeship in this profession offering a widerange of activities.

• A 3 ½ -year apprenticeship for precision mechanics.

  These courses are held in the precision engineering workshop operated by the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy. The trainees are integrated in the maintenance and repair work for geodetic instruments and in development work as well.
