Historical Topographic Map Series
Introduction
The Historical Topographic Maps at the scales 1 : 25,000, 1 : 100,000 and 1 : 300,000 constitute reprints from the map stocks of the former "Reichsamt für Landesaufnahme des Deutschen Reiches" (Reich Office for Land Survey) and are distributed by the "Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie" (Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy) only to a limited extent and in accordance with the map sheet indexes contained in these records and listings, respectively. These reprints present different correction statuses. The sheets adjacent towards the West are distributed by the "Landesvermessungsämter" (Land survey offices) or through appropriate institutions of the respective "Bundesländer" (states of the Federal Republic).
